Insecure
She ran away,
and did not look back.
Then her love,
my life did lack.

All alone,
I did weep.
All alone,
and in my sleep.

Her loving voice,
I sorrily miss.
The way she spoke,
that brought me to bliss.

Those gentle hands,
that touched my face.
That now hangs down,
in sad disgrace.

Those moistened lips,
that kissed my own.
Their sweet taste,
I had once known.

The shining eyes,
that brought me smiles.
Now that see,
the distant miles.

Her skin so smooth,
that once pressed mine.
I once enjoyed,
its every line.

The silky, dark hair,
that smelled so good.
That she left down,
when I said she should.

Her mind I loved,
that remained opened.
And the lovely thoughts,
it held within.

All gone away,
reason unknown.
Left my heart empty,
and this coop flown.

I can only cry,
and miss her so.
Only wonder,
and never know.

I have done nothing wrong,
that I can find.
Do not know what could,
have gone through her mind.

A long, sad look,
at my lonely house.
At me, alone,
without my spouse.

Then a note I see,
on the refrigerator door.
"Be back soon,
gone to the store."
In case you missed it, this is a humorous poem. :)
