One Night In The Shadow
I felt so alive in The Shadow,
a candlelight dinner and view of the sea.
In the background a piano,
and your soft voice as you whispered to me.

You said that you're leaving tomorrow,
you had to go but you wanted to stay.
My joy had all turned into sorrow,
only one night and you're going away.

The morning we met for the first time,
we saw each other earlier that day.
Neither of us needed a first line,
our eyes met and it was love right away.

Now it's midnight in The Shadow,
and I'll miss you in every way.
We try not to think of tomorrow,
and you come close to hear me say.

Make love,
just for tonight.
Make love,
before we say goodbye, before goodbye.

Share our love,
I'll wait for your return.
But let this fire burn,
when you're gone I'll never.

Share my love,
with anyone but you.
I will wait for you,
till you're back forever.

We shared one night of devotion,
joined by the fire that was burning inside.
We couldn't escape our emotions,
and we nearly died when we had to say.

Goodbye,
I want you to stay.
Goodbye,
till you come back one day, come back one day.

Share our love,
until when you return.
And the flames of fire will burn,
in our hearts so never.

Share your love,
don't give it to someone new.
And our love will remain true,
till you're back forever.

I'm so in love with you.
This is the first time I've felt this way.
I promise, I'll wait for you.
This poem was inspired by, and written exactly to, the song, "Save Your Love", by Bad Boys Blue.

It seemed like a good idea at the time. I guess it's not all bad.
In this poem, The Shadow, is the name of a fictional hotel.
