House #2

This one is a more family friendly design, and it has two stories.  I naturally design on the premise of being with mate but without child, so the downstairs bedroom could be a guest bedroom or the child's bedroom, either way, it has a considerably sized walk-in closet.

The downstairs bathroom is also of ample size, and the tub can be converted into a shower tub.

The utility room is like a hallway, so you can have your washer and dryer as well as a large linen closet if you want one, and you could even put in a cabinet/counter set.  A janitorial sink would always come in handy.

The kitchen has considerable counter space, ergo, cabinets.  It's typically best to go with a triangular placement of the sink, oven, and fridge, but one flaw of this design is that the best placement of all those items, in relation to the surrounding parts of the house, is along the outer wall.

This design is generally incomplete in that I have not decided on what all furniture there would be as well as its placement.  The two front areas are the living area and the dining area.  Naturally, the dining area is by the kitchen.  It is also possible that the dining area could be turned into a living area, since not all people use a dining room, and the living area can be closed off to make a den, or possibly a smaller third bedroom.

The large circle is a circular stairway, which brings us to the second floor (ha ha!).

laugh, then see second floor page.
