House #3

This design is not a serious design.  It is one based on apartment in a dream I had.  One thing about the one in the dream is that it had no bathroom.  I decided that it would be better to have a bathroom, so I made some slight alterations, and worked in a design.

In this dream, I lived in this apartment with about five females.  The bedrooms were more stalls.  This design has six, but I think there were eight in the dream.  The floor of each stall was covered in a sort of thickly cushioned silk comforter, and there were a number of large silk pillows.  The cushions were very long and ran from one stall on into the stall across from it.  In walking down the little hallway, you walked on the cushions.

Each stall was decorated to the personal tastes of the individual, and each stall had a sort of chest of drawers to hold clothes, but the person slept on the cushions and pillows on the floor.  Incidentally, they were exceedingly comfortable.  Also, the cushions, pillows, and walls were brightly colored.  You'll notice that the stalls have no doors.  In this dream, there was no need for privacy between us.

The other half of the apartment was the living room.  It was large, open, and empty except for two couches, one against either side-wall, and a TV to the left of the front, and only, door; all pretty much where you see it.  There was a very small kitchen as well.

As for the changes, I made the kitchen a little bigger, at least big enough to fit a sink, oven, fridge, and a decent amount of counter space.  I also decided to put in a small table.

I have only six stalls, and I made the back into a rather nice bathroom.  It has two sinks, enough cabinets and drawers, a huge halved mirror, because it's better feng shui to not have one directly opposite the front door.  There's a shower on one side, and a tub on the other, and, what I prefer in any residence: two toilets, especially if you have six people living together.

The dream was much like a fantasy: one guy living with five females, and they are not worried about privacy within the apartment, and no one but the six of them are ever in the apartment.  When you are that one guy, you're feelin' fine, to say the least.  I considered the noise factor.  There are no doors, so the TV being on might interrupt anyone sleeping, but since the living room is so big, and the TV is on the other side of the room, and the people would have respect for each other, it might not be a problem, but if worse comes to worse, a door can be put in that first opening.
