"The Cast: The Enemy Mastermind"

  The ultimate mastermind behind the enemy exploits is one human.  I have not decided anything about him, but he must be a brilliant strategist as well as be able to supply the smaller continent with the resources they need, like tranquilizer guns for capturing Jaba Wokai.

  He might also be supplying some steel so they can forge weapons.

  You might ask, why not just supply guns?  Well, that's just another thing that makes deciding what he is so complicated.  I don't really want any guns in the story.

  I suppose it could be that he does not want anyone on the planet to have better weapons than him.  I might let him have a gun.

  Anyway, he will be the man behind the curtain on both continents.  On the large continent, he will be working with one of the rulers of the five kingdoms.  He is helping that ruler to be able to do something to inhibit the responses, of the other four kingdoms, when the smaller continent does attack.

  Different things will be done to different kingdoms, like taking leadership, having control of some kinds over persons of authority, creating timed instability, things like that.  I haven't decided anything specific for any of the kingdoms except for one, and I have only a vague idea for it.

  He will try to do something regarding the son of the king of the D'Warvine kingdom.  Haven't decided what, though.

  The enemy mastermind's plan on the larger continent is to make it more vulnerable to being taken over.  Part of this plan is capturing a dozen or so of the continent's best portal openers and threatening them in individual ways to make them work for him.

  In one or more scenes, they will be laying like tire spokes around a central pillar, possibly of technology, and they will be in a deep trance to be of one mind so they can open portals anytime, anywhere, for extended periods of time, at his command.  He will make frequent trips back and forth, between worlds and continents.

  I want to avoid the cliché of him being a super-rich businessman.  I do not want his wealth to be an issue, but he will need to be someone of some kind of influence, if he is going to supply tranquilizer guns and steel.  I suppose he could be a thief of some sort.
