No Room For A Locket
If you're driving in your car,
and you don't know where you are,
just keep in mind that,
what you see isn't far away.

You went a foot before,
and you saw a foot more,
then you threw up your hands,
and said you've had it for today.

You pull over to a hotel,
to find that it's a motel,
but at this point you don't care,
so you say what the hell, why not.

You've got an empty wallet,
and nothing in your pocket,
but he says that he needs something,
and a little gold locket is all you've got.

You turn away and look at it,
remember how long you've had it,
open it up and look inside,
and feel so sad it has to go.

Looking at each picture,
you suddenly feel richer,
you change your mind,
turn to the counter and say no.

So you're driving in your car,
and you don't know where you are,
and you keep in mind that,
what you see isn't far away.

You went a foot before,
and you saw a foot more,
but you know you're going somewhere,
and you've saved your precious possession for today.
It sounds a little bit sarcastic at the end, doesn't it?
