Can You Fly
Can you fly?

through the air
with whistling winds
looking down
as earth descends
far above
over falls
as water crashes
on seawalls
fields of flowers
sway with you
leaves from trees
as you fly through
over oceans
splashes sigh
passing seagulls
going by
fast as lightning
electric shock
passed the hands
of a ticking clock
leave time behind
all is blurred
straight ahead
can't be detoured
an entire planet
all unfurled
microseconds
to see the world
seen it all
continue on
passed the stars
now you're gone.

Can you fly?

You just did.
Make appropriate pauses where there are line breaks,
but the bulk of the poem is meant to be read quickly and all run together.
