Being There
When you need no words of reassurance,
that only hide what is true.
Words that say nothing is wrong,
that do not help the soul in you.

When all that is needed is another,
for you to share with, the pain you feel.
A silent expression of deepened love,
the very truth that helps wounds heal.

In many situations, hearing someone say, "it's okay",
or something like that, to comfort someone, is really annoying.
Just hug'em and keep your trap shut.
