No Tears To Weep
She paints her face to go out at night
Thick black sticky on lips of white
Steps out and looks at the moonlit sky
Shadowed eyes catch the rain
And down her face the tears she cannot cry
Longcoat collar pulled close around her cheeks
Another lonely walk down the bleeding street

If she screamed into the sky like a raging sea
And shouted no one would hear her
If she shouted "Can anyone hear me"
"Why can't anyone hear me"

"I don't want time to play this game
I've played it and it's still the same
I've been around and back again
And still there's still this bitter pain
That sits so still
In my heart it's the only thing that's really real
It's all I feel"

People all around so far away
Can't face the light, can't face the day
She buries herself in a writhing crowd
She likes to go where the music is so loud
But it's still not loud enough
To blow her lonely lonely lonely mind away

"A hundred thousand days and nights
A hundred thousand stupid lights
Just shoot my world to outer space
Where they won't hear me scream or see my face
Where it's all so black and all so strange
It won't be a change
I'll just sink into myself and sleep"

Forever inside... no tears to weep
