Some Are Simple. Some Are Not.
It's hard to fall,
when you're grasping for the rope.
And you want it so bad,
that your body seems to float.

And your mind is straining,
just to keep yourself alive.
Oblivious to everything,
except your mental desire.

Your fingers graze the fibers,
and your filling with some hope.
Attempting to accomplish,
is your only way to cope.

Going on for so long,
you think with heavy breath.
That you can go on no more,
and then fall to your death.

You sit up, open your eyes,
as sweat rolls down your face.
You hear your own sigh of relief,
for the familiar place.

Your mind knows well and speaks to you,
in ways you may not understand.
Learn to listen carefully,
and give yourself a hand.
Instincts can be very helpful if you learn to listen to them.
