The Hand Of Lady Rainfall
He stands still in the street,
from in the four ways he knows no one is around.

But he waits,
he listens to the raindrops,
he sees only the flashes of light then the sound.

A shadow moves slowly,
his eyes lay upon it as a flash reveals a soft smiling face.

He sees so clearly,
each delicate curve,
each detail of the white, silken lace.

She moves in a rhythm,
her trails like the tides in a sea.

She carries the flowers,
holds gaze to his eyes,
wears joy and happiness graciously.

They stand together,
face to face remembering all that will remain.

He kissed her lips,
she was truly alive,
she wed under the black veil of a cloud in the rain.
Lady Rainfall finally takes human form. He finally has her in body and soul.

This poem was inspired by, and sort of written to, the song, "Running To Stand Still", by U2.
