One day, some time ago, I decided to make a folder to hold my very favorite pictures.  I have a lot of pictures, but I was a little surprised by how very few of them rank as my favorites.  Now, certainly there are many pictures that I hold in high regard, and there are many of those, but probably less than 1% are ones that, for lack of a better way of saying it, touch me on a deeper level.

  I can't really quantify exactly what about them makes them stand out.  I could point a few things out, sure, but there would be more to them than just those things.  The atmosphere of the pictures are very important.  The feel of the situation.  Granted, the feel is just my own interpretation based on personal associations to the elements.

  What is featured are not all of the pictures in said folder, mind you.  Myspace might not have allowed a couple of them, due to their content.  I'd rather not risk it.  The were a few that definitely would not have been allowed, but don't read too much into that "definitely".  And the rest were ones that I just could not find copies of online.  I wish we could upload pictures to blogs to avoid that kind of inconvenience, but hey.

  In addition to those favorites, I've included some newer ones that I think are cool.  They may never become favorites, but they still rank high.  There are also some that are here to serve as support pictures.  That will be explained with the given pictures.

  Let's start with Michelle Rodriguez.  This particular pictures was taken while The Fast and The Furious was all the buzz.  I think the pose is the primary reason for me liking it, but there are other things as well.  I also like that the background is all white.

  Ah, Milla Jovovich.  She's just cool.  One of the few celebrities I actually admire.  Actress, model, singer, songwriter, musician, and she's skillful at all of them.  Anyway, she's one of those females who, depending on how they've been made up, can look either amazingly beautiful or bordering on repulsive.

  I think that, of all the pictures I call my favorites, this one tops the lot.  I hesitate to actually point out any reasons why I like it as I do, for fear of creating too much focus on those specific things.  One of things about it is the fact that she's (portrayed as) sleeping.  I have a great appreciation for sleep, plus the picture really taps into some of my "fantasies" about having a mate.  It's almost as if the pictures was taken straight out of my head, minus the stuffed animal.

  Something to know about this picture is that it is not the copy I have.  This picture had been modified, so it doesn't look like an actual photograph, but it still looks cool.

  One day, I was just flipping through channels on tv.  A couple of the channels are spanish-speaking channels which feature a great many telenovelas.  I don't recall if I was passing through or if I had stopped a while to see if anything interesting was going one, but the name of the show was Mis Tres Hermanas, and the second Scarlet Ortiz was on the screen, I was astonished.  Obviously she's physically attractive, but what really got was her eyes.  She just radiated a kindness.

  I have three pictures here for two reasons.  The favorite picture is not of a very good quality, so the second picture it to sort of help the first one.  The third picture is there as a contrast to the first one, because the first one has her made up more than usual.

  Amanda Rosa Pérez is someone else I discovered on a telenovela.  I did not get as much of a personality hit from her as a I did from Scarlet, but she still had some pretty amazing eyes.  FYI, her hair was more blonde when she was on the show.

  And here we have my absolute favorite picture of porn star Asia Carrera.  Actually, that's not saying quite what you might think, since it's pretty much the only picture of here I care anything at all about.  She's one of those people who actually get uglier when made up.  Her involvement in the porn industry is of very little interest to me beyond its seeming contrast to what I do respect about her.

  I dig the outfit, but something most may not know about her is that she is a member of MENSA.  She's a certified genius.  And if I'm not mistaken, she was the first female (or was it, first female pornstar) to start her own porn company/studio.

  Vanessa Mae in a violinist who also does some singing.  The picture is part of a set called Making of Siemen's Cellphone Ad on her official website.

  The dress is lovely, and I completely dig that she's barefoot, but one little detail that I thought was just fantastic is that on the floor, near her foot, is a glass of milk.  Fantastic.

  I don't really know anything about Rie Komiya.  I just happened across the picture, but I think it's great.  Foggy and misty.  I'm not sure, but it looks like it might be in a graveyard.  It looks like it could be a scene from a movie, though it isn't.

  This picture is not quite a favorite, and I had hoped to have another picture accompany it, but I could not find a copy.  The female is Ryoko Hirosue, and I know nothing about her.  Another picture I happened upon one day.  One of the things I like about thins picture is the slightly wet look it has.  Also, I like pictures that look like candid shots, and this one is of an interesting moment.

  Yukie Nakama is another person I know nothing about, and this is not a favorite, but that's another wonderful facial expression.

  The second picture is a late addition. I found it while searching for a replacement source for the first picture. When an already cute asian chick does that with her lips, my brain just goes haywire.

  Ayumi Shigemori is apparently an actress, though I don't really know anything more than that.  IMDB.com says she's been in only two movies.  The main things I like about this picture, and I'd say it's about 3rd (give or take) favorite of the lot, is her expression, her dress, the light, and the angle.

  Shu Qi (Hsu Chi, Hsu Qi) is an actress and long since former porn star, and I consider her an exceptional beauty.  The first picture is one of two or three that I wanted to show, but I could not find any copies of the others.  The second picture is one I just decided to include because it was from the same set, and the rest are not suitable for use in Myspace.

  The use of light in the pictures is very cool, and most of the set includes water.  I like the black and skin-tone color scheme, and do I really need to mention the expression in the first picture.

  As mentioned in my previous blog entry, Ayumi Hamasaki, singer, is a new discovery for me.  Just about every time I find a new female of interest, I go on a picture hunt to learn more about her.  Most of her pictures didn't grab me at all, but I found a few that I really like.

  Of the first two, I like the second one better for her eyes and mouth.  It comes close to qualifying as a favorite, but does not quite make it.  There's just not enough character in the picture.  The last two are just neat.
