Random Stuff 02

I'm tired.  It's currently 6:06 PM, but it would be unwise to go to sleep now.  I haven't had a decent night's sleep in two nights.  Two nights ago, I had to go stay the night at my grandmother's house, because she fell and my mother was afraid she might again.  Don't worry, it wasn't a big deal.

Anyway, my mother wanted me there to help her back up, should she fall again.  As I suspected, it was a waste.  She fell coming up the steps of her porch; not inside her house.  You have to be part of this to know why that's significant.  Sufficed to say, I knew it was a waste the second I was told.

So, I'm over there, and I want to sleep.  She has a couch that is firm enough, but couches just aren't really long enough for me.  It's not that I'm all that tall (only 5'7" 1/2).  It's that I am largely a stomach sleeper, but not always, and when I'm on my stomach, I can't sleep comfortably on a pillow.

My bed is wide enough that I can just roll over and have my head in the middle, by the pillow.  No such room on the couch, so I have to scoot down and sleep "below" the pillow, which takes up more room along the length of the couch.  When I realized that I would not be getting any sleep that way, because I could not have my legs straight, I decided to move to the floor.

It's carpeted, so I had at least that, but it was still too hard for comfort.  It was over-all better than the couch, but I still got about a collective two hours of sleep.  Later than night, back at home, I had to stay up later than I'd preferred, babysitting my great niece who is a little sick.  I was relieved of her at around 1 AM, but still had something to do, so I got to bed about 2:30 or 3.

And then I had to get up at about 8:30 AM to babysit again.  I did get to "nap" a little, so things could be worse.  But the night at my grandmother's did get me thinking about something.  Or rather, think about something again, and in more depth.

I really don't like sharing a bed.  I'm a light sleeper.  I move around a lot.  My bed is a queen size, and I take up about 3 or 4/5 of it.  I've had to share it with relatives, and I get awakened by their movements.  When I move, I wake up to a degree, and when someone else is there, I wake up more, because I'm trying to avoid hitting them.  I'm limited in my range, so I am squished in (still better than a couch).

This is just something to add to my lack of enthusiasm for having a mate.  Don't get my wrong: I'd like one, but I'm not feeling any compulsions.  Anyway, if I did have a mate, we'd have to have something bigger than a king-size, and it would have to be something that doesn't transfer movement well.  Either that, or she would have to be a super-heavy sleeper who does not move and does not sprawl.  I wouldn't want either of us to feel restricted or disturbed.

I've watched about four or six episodes of the show, Dead Like Me.  I really like it.  I've got one of my tiny crushed on the star, Ellen Muth, though, of course, it's mainly her character, where personality is concerned.  Give her more self-confidence, a little bit of a brighter outlook, and better taste in dress shoes, and she'd be right up my alley.

Physically, she's a little lacking in the ass department, but not so much that it's really a negative.  She otherwise appears to have a pretty rockin' bod, in my opinion.  But I'm here to talk about her face.

In viewing some non-show pictures of her, she's ranged from peculiar to bizarrely beautiful, and by that I mean, she looks bizarre, yet beautiful.  She's got strong features; distinct, almost cartoonish, in a way, but not a bad one, strictly speaking.  In some pictures, I really don't care for her hair style, because it looks to big.  I don't like when someone's hair draws attention away from their face.  Also not keen on the name Ellen

I'm including some choice pictures, but she's one of those for whom pictures do not do justice, compared to live action.  I recommend watching an episode or two, if you're really interested.  I could not find any satisfactory pictures of her more "natural" state, but I do rather like this one of her with a big grin.

And speaking of attractive people, I have mentioned in a previous entry (I think) a waitress at my favorite local Chinese buffet.  She's scrawny, assless, and has acne... is married and has two kids, but she's is so freakin' adorable.  I got over my tiny crush on her about a month ago.

Two days ago, I took notice of her sister, who started working there about a week ago.  She's taller, not freakin' adorable, almost equally assless (like most Asians), and facially someone I probably wouldn't give more than a glance, unless she was within view for a long period of time.

She's by no means bad looking.  She just has a face style different from her sister, and it's one that I don't find particularly attractive.  I know the cute one has a sister that recently got married, but I do not know if she was the one.  I also have reason to believe that she may have breasts a shape that I don't find especially attractive.

So, what, you might be asking, do I find attractive about her?  Two things.  Well, I guess three things, I suppose, but her pleasantness just feels like a given, for some reason.  Anyway, one is her fashion sense, or what of it I've seen thus far.  She's got a particular pair of jeans that really suit her, despite her degree of asslessness.  She also wears a t-shirt well.

The second thing of notice is how she carries herself.  I don't think I could actually describe it accurately, though possibly only because I have seen her enough, but there's something I like about her posture and the way she walks.  She gives off the aura of someone I would consider a genuine t-shirt and jeans girl.

My impression is that she's not girly.  Mind you, the adorable one doesn't seem all too girly either, but this one seems less so.  Let's say, I can easily imagine her as not being apprehensive about picking up a dead mouse.  Of course, for all I know, she could be, but it's not like I've had much exposure to her.  She seems to have much more of the personality I would look for in a mate.

I guess this entry is going to be mostly about females I find attractive, because here's another.  Kari Byron, of Mythbusters.  Actually, there are three primary Mythbustresses (my word), and one intern named Jenn (or something) that I saw in an episode, but has appeared in at least two.  None of them are exactly hard on the eyes.

I never got a very good look at Jenn (or whatever), because she was in a hooded raincoat pretty much the whole time.  Or just not facing the camera directly enough.  From what I could tell, I'd rank her #2 of 4.

Scottie Chapman, has more that I dislike than I like about her, over-all.  She's got some really cool qualities that I admire, but just not enough.  She's not ugly, but I don't exactly find it a pleasure to look at her.  I'd rank her at #4.

Christine Chamberlain is a peculiar one.  There are no good pictures of her.  Actually, I could find only one picture of her, period.  After seeing her on several episodes of Mythbusters, seeing the cast picture of her on the website was just weird.  I wasn't sure if it was actually the same person.

As she appears on the shows, I like how she looks.  I like how she dresses, I like her attitude, in as much of it as I've seen, she got a nice body, and her face is oddly attractive... on the show.  She seems to be a low-key person, which is a plus in my book, but the down-side is that it's not very revealing of her depths.  I wouldn't call her a tough chick, in the stereotypical sense, but I get the impression that if you punched her in the face, she could take it.

The was one episode where a burning hot jawbreaker exploded, and some liquid candy splashed on her face and neck.  She kept a cool head and didn't whine about it after.  She made way to the bathroom to check it out, but her prominent after-"emotion" was disappointment in herself for not having worn the proper protective face covering.  No whining about the pain or the damage.  I give her #3, because the ranking is about more than just attitude.

And this brings us back to #1, Kari Byron.  Of the four, as packages go, she's the whole one.  She's an artist, and I actually kind of like her work.  Great attitude, rockin' bod...  Actually, I think I'll let this picture say it for me.

She's also appeared in FHM, apparently, and you can find some FHM and Mythbusters video footage here.

I think that's it for me, tonight.  I'd like to try to get to bed early.  Gotta HTML this up, and then see to some other things.  Oh, I almost forgot.  I came up with a new come-on line.  Before I continue, I'd like to make it clear that it's rather ironic that I would think up any come-on lines, since I would never have any use for one beyond entertainment, but I occasionally come up with them anyway, because I can appreciate a good come-on line.

Okay, I don't actually have it down to just one line.  I have variations, though one is just one line.  If you're looking for the true one-liner come-on, then try this:

"Okay, you've attracted me.  NOW what do you intend to do with me."

Don't accent the "now" too much, unless you're going for amusing.  I prefer the "serious" approach... theoretically, of course.  Which brings me to the multi-liner.

Scene: girl at bar.  You walk up beside her, making sure she does not see you approach.  Lean on the bar.

You:  Okay, now what?

Her:  What?  What are you talking about?

You:  Well, you've successfully ("successfully" is optional) attracted me.  What's the next part of your plan?

A variation on the one-liner, and you being less serious and more charming is:

"Okay, you've attracted me, but the question is, was it intentional or involuntary?"

  Feel free to tweak them.
