Random Stuff 05

So, I tried a Jack In The Box ciabatta burger (bacon and cheese) for the first time.  Gotta say, I'm not crazy about it.  It doesn't taste bad, mind you.  I just don't understand the appeal of bread that is not soft.  When I eat a burger or sandwich, or any prepared food, really, I don't want to have to wrestle with it.

Kind of like French bread.  The inside is delicious with garlic butter, but the outside is almost impenetrable by human teeth.  And once you do get through, you run the risk of scraping your gums.  I'd rather my food didn't hurt me.  I don't care to have eating be a painful experience.  That's the reason I don't care for spicy foods.  Can I handle it? Sure.  But I've got nothing to prove.  I want to fill my stomach and enjoy the flavor, if there is one.

I updated my profile a little; the TV and movie section, to be precise.  With the new season and my getting Direct TV, I had to remove and add a few things.  Any regular readers (I'm and optimist) might notice Full Metal Alchemist and wonder, "I thought he wasn't interested in that show.  He said he wasn't impressed with what the little bit he saw of only one episode.  I remember because I thought to myself, 'He didn't give it a fair chance, that jackass'.  Well, I guess he gave it another shot and liked it, but I wonder why."

Well, the show comes on twice a day, showing the same episode.  I had nothing better to do at the time of its second showing, so I watched it again, from the beginning.  It was decent, but what really endeared it to me is that the theme song is "Ready, Steady, Go", by L'Arc~En~Ciel, a Japanese group I like.  I watched more episodes and became more interested.  I dig it, now.  It's got some pretty cool concepts.

As I have apparently yet to master embedding video into ANYTHING, I'll put in these links to videos at YouTube.com.

This is the second opening for Full Metal Alchemist.  Wish I could find the first one in english.

This is the full music video for Ready, Steady, Go!

Here's a nother good song by them.  Blurry Eyes.

And another good one.  Stay Away

I was looking at some other videos in general, and I found one called Kiss.  It's a music video, but it's like watching a little movie, and a very good one at that.
