Random Stuff 16

Check out the three hilarious video clips advertizing the book, Average American Male.

So, apparently Muslim extremists, with ties to "terrorist" organizations, are trying to become school bus drivers...  But the F.B.I. says don't worry about it.  Riiiiight.

From the U.S. Department of Justice:

May 2006, Tampa.  Two Saudis boarded a school bus and shouted in Arabic for 30 minutes before finally being removed by officials.

August 2006, New York.  3 men described as "Middle Eastern" tried to by several school buses from a school bus company, and when they were refused, the staked the company out for several minutes from a parked car across the street.

June 2006.  Canadian man is arrested on terrorism charges, and his day job is a school bus driver, though I hear that detail is unrelated to why he was arrested.

A series of unrelated events?  Maybe.  There is some concern that Muslim Extremists might want to do something like blow up a bus-load of kids.  There's suspicion that they believe such a thing would strike a blow to American confidence.  I guess that's the part we're not supposed to worry about, because, in my opinion, something like that would have the opposite effect.

I don't think there's anything big and obvious that they could do that would strike at American confidence.  If their desire is for America to wimp out, then all they have to do is sit back an let Liberalism run roughshod.  Of course, that's not really America.  It's just the people who hold the immediate power.

If Muslim extremist actually are planning something with school buses, my guess is that they either would kidnap kids and use them as leverage, or they just want the buses to use as cover to get into important places under the guise of a school trip.

I think that if they actually did blow up buses of kids, Americans would finally go ape-shit enough to actually get the war fought and rain some hell down upon the enemy.

From how many sources have you heard that the Iraqi government reports that civilian deaths are down 82%?

If anyone had any doubts that PETA is a low-life scum organization, then have a look at this:

And this just tickles me pink:

Both are links from this page:

  Get a load of this:

"The cat, like the dog, must disappear... We should cut the domestic cat free from our dominance by neutering, neutering, and more neutering, until our pathetic version of the cat ceases to exist."

John Bryant, Fettered Kingdoms: An Examination of A Changing Ethic (Washington, DC: People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PeTA), 1982), p. 15.

That's just a step up from genocide.  A little ironic that an animals rights activist wants to take away an animal's right to reproduce.

I need a key on my keyboard that will automatically insert the word "hypocrite" (and one for "hypocrisy"), so I won't have to spell it out over and over and over.  Either that or just stop talking about PETA and Liberals....  Not likely.

While looking at some site about PETA's nefariousness, I found one site which compared their use of spy cameras to Bush's "wire tapping".

People, please.  Looking through phone records is not anywhere near the same thing as wire tapping.  And for any Clinton supporters, go to the Google site and enter the following: eschelon, Clinton.

Where was that outcry?  I never even knew about it until after the Bush "wire tapping" nonsense.

  "I'm not a midget.  I'm a little person."

Main Entry: midg·et
Pronunciation: 'mi-j&t
Function: noun
Usage: often attributive
Etymology: midge
1 : something (as an animal) much smaller than usual
2 sometimes offensive : a very small person; specifically : a person of unusually small size who is physically well-proportioned
3 : a front-engine, single-seat, open-wheel racing car smaller and of less engine displacement than standard cars of the type

Yeah, you're a little person.  So is every toddler in the world, barring any freakishly large ones.  You're a midget.  Deal with it.

I get a real kick out of these people who say we should be going after so-and-so individual instead of fighting the war or being in Iraq or something like that.

Why should we do nothing but go after that one person?  Will Muslim extremists stop everything they're doing just because we "get" one specific individual?  Assuming those people actually do engage in something resembling logical thinking, then are they unaware of the fact that Muslim extremists are all over the world planning and acting on their belief that it's their duty to kill everyone not of their religion?

Do they genuinely believe that "getting" that one person, and then packing up and going home, will solve everything?

I found this on someone else's MySpace page:

  IT IS THE SOLDIER

It is the Soldier, not the minister - Who has given us freedom of religion.
It is the Soldier, not the reporter - Who has given us freedom of the press.
It is the Soldier, not the poet - Who has given us freedom of speech.
It is the Soldier, not the campus organizer - Who has given us freedom to protest.
It is the Soldier, not the lawyer - Who has given us the right to a fair trial.
It is the Soldier, not the politician - Who has given us the right to vote.
It is the Soldier who salutes the flag, Who serves beneath the flag, And whose coffin is draped by the flag - Who allows the protester to burn the flag.
