Edge Of The World
"The sun looks warm going down on the snow", she said
"Like it's sleeping warm at the edge of the world," she said
"But it's so cold like the cold breath of the dead,"
and then she smiled for a second

"The sky looks warm dropping down on the snow," she said
"Like the fading glow at the edge of the world," she said
"But it's still so cold like the cold breath of the dead,"
and then she smiled for a second

The sky looked so warm as I put my lips to her head
Like a kiss as her eyelids fell with the glowing red
But she was so cold like the cold breath of the dead
and then she smiled for a second

I said, "you always make me feel
like I'm living at the edge of the world,
like we are living at the edge of the world."
"Maybe it's the way you always smiled," I said
This poem was inspired by, and basically written to, the song, "Plainsong", by The Cure.
