Sleep Walking
Thursday, September 20, 2001

This involves a dream, but it's not the weird thing.

You need some real life information, first.  My sister is getting a place of her own in another city, so while she has been gone during the week, her stuff is still in her room, at this house.

A couple of days ago, my mother had to go pick up a relative from the airport, and then would drive with him the next day far out of town so that he could attend his grandmother's funeral.

He spent the night here, but because of how tall he it, he used my bed, and I slept on my sister's futon.  They left the next morning, and that night, I was back in my own bed.

  Okay, now the dream.

From what I vaguely recall, I was supposed to be searching for something, but all of my surroundings were very blurry.  Also, I may not have been 100% asleep.

I think I was holding a piece of paper with clues written on it, but I also could hear the clues being spoken, as if I were imagining them being spoken aloud by the man who was giving me the quest.

Each clue was leading me to walk to some other point in the unclear landscape.  I should say that while the dream was visually unclear, everything was fine as far as the events in the dream were concerned.

At the end of the dream, I don't recall exactly what I was trying to do, but I was physically having great difficulty, because some things were not where they where supposed to be.

Now, here's the weird part.  I finally managed to make myself wake up, to escape the confusion and hassle of the difficulty, and I find myself laying on my sister's futon, on top of all the covers, and I'm holding one of her catalogues in my left hand.  Also, the door to her room was shut.

To my knowledge, I have never sleepwalked before.
