Fascinating dream, today.  Here's the setup.

  I was a member of a family consisting of a mother, father, myself and two sisters.  As it is, so far, that is my real life arrangement, but in the dream, I'm not sure what the ages are of the two sisters, the mother was my actual mother, but the father was someone else.

  We had all intended to go to some big outside party, which also seemed like it was a vacation, but because of some meteorites striking the earth, the father went instead to another country to see the site of the larger impact.

  Two other people, his team, went with him, but the rest of us went to this party, which was a pool party at was seemed to be a large college.  The college seemed more like a cross between a college and a water park.  The property was large, as was the pool, which was not like a normal swimming pool.

  Skipping to the interesting bit, my dream self was suddenly observing the father, who was some kind of scientist, as he was in a jungle.  He pulled aside a branch of leaves and revealed an amazing cliff view of a single mountain in the distance.

  The mountain had a jagged, slice-of-pie shaped piece knocked out of it near the top.  This was done by one of the meteorites.  Suddenly, the last meteorite struck the mountain lower on the same side, knocking a huge chunk out of it.

  The view changed, and the broken mountain was suddenly the moon.  We were still on earth, but it was like we were on top of the atmosphere, almost in space, and the moon was close to the earth, so it looked huge.

  The moon was cracked open like a hard hollow ball, and the team could see something inside.  It took a few second to make out, but then it looked like a number of smaller spheres.

  A few seconds later all the spheres flew out of the moon, it seemed because of the earth's gravity, and they settled into different places orbiting the earth.

  At first, I thought maybe the earth suddenly had a bunch of smaller moons, now, and I thought it was pretty cool, but once they stopped and I could see them clearly, they all looked like smaller earths, but without the cloud cover.

  Then, more strangely, some of them appeared to have things on them (will explain).

  One of them sort of developed small arms and legs and a weird head, and there was a huge coporate logo (don't recall which one) on it.  A little later the "moon" talked, saying, I'm the one that shows advertisments, or something like that.

  Some of the other "moons" had other different unidentified things on them, but not advertisements.

  It remember feeling disappointed at that thought that some company was using a small planet as advertising space.
